The ESPN Squad 3D character development brings bold personalities and playful energy to life through a carefully crafted visual world. From early character exploration and behavior design to full 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, and environment creation, each character is built to feel expressive, dynamic, and authentic to the ESPN brand. This project blends storytelling with polished craftsmanship, resulting in a vibrant squad that feels alive on screen and connects with fans across platforms. This time, we introduced new members, Nora, PJ, and Shay. Bring these characters to life meant perfecting every detail, from their hair to the ripples in their clothes. Every choice reflected their dynamic personality through their behavior as well.

NORA

She represents the cross-section of sports and culture, fashion, food, music & art. She is young, confident, creative, and brings that special sauce to the group. Social first and always carries her phone.

PJ

His favorite thing in the world is kicking back with his buddies. If there’s a watch party, he’s planning it. He’s always up for joining the game, though “athletic” might not be the first word you’d use to describe him.

Shay

the jock of the group. Being a sports fanatic is central to who she is, and when it comes to anything sports-related, she’s an absolute genius.

I closely guided the characters’ behavior and their surrounding environment in collaboration with the producer and storyboard artist to create a fun, energetic gathering of the full squad. Together, we shaped moments that brought all four characters together while highlighting each of their distinct personalities through playful actions and interactions. By balancing character-driven storytelling with dynamic staging, we ensured every scene felt lively, cohesive, and full of charm
